Island Welcome curated by Belinda Newick

Island Welcome acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands where the project travels. The Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Boon wurrung people of the Kulin Nation, the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, the Kaurna people, the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Boodjar, the Ngarrindjeri people and the Ngunnawal and Ngambri peoples.

We recognise their continued connection to the land, air and waters of this beautiful country and acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded. We respect the cultural authority of all Aboriginal people in this country.

Always was always will be Aboriginal land.
